Digital House is a part-time Latin American coding bootcamp that teaches full stack web development, data analytics, data science, user experience (UX) design and digital marketing, both online and in-person. It has multiple headquarters in 7 countries starting in Argentina and going all the way up to Mexico. They also offer a special certification called Mercado Libre Certified Consultant that will help you earn a living by helping others succeed in their online business using the popular e-commerce platform as base. Finally, Digital House offers the Digital Immersion Program that trains you in corporate digital transformation so you can become a force of change within your own company.

If you’re attending the in-person courses, Digital House will provide you with a notebook and other devices to work with, but if you choose the online modality you’ll need your own computer + internet access.

All courses cost $2,100, except for the Mercado Libre Certified Consultant, which costs $1,400, and they last an average of 5 months. The only caveat is a harsh refund policy that makes it a little risky to apply if you’re not sure whether or not the courses are for you. Highly skilled instructors, a project-based curriculum and good flexibility when it comes to schedules make this a great choice for those looking for a career change but who don’t want to put all their eggs in one basket by quitting their current job.

Digital House is an Argentinean part-time, both in-person and fully-online coding school with headquarters in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay, that currently offers courses that span data analytics, digital marketing, UX design and full stack web development. The courses are 16 hours per week and last 5 months, for a total of approximately 320 hours of classes, plus an average of 6 to 10 extra hours per week in order to work on class assignments.

They train their students in some of the most in-demand skills and also offer digital transformation services for corporations, that aim to change company culture, improve the skills of employees and develop industry-specific knowledge to help those corporations compete in the new emerging markets.

Their courses are targeted to students that have prior basic experience in different fields, although the specific topics they’ll need to know depend on the particular course they plan to enroll in.

Who Is It For?

Digital House is targeted to students with at least a secondary degree, who want to learn to code or who want to learn other digital skills such as digital marketing or online business management. However, it is not a coding school for complete newbies in programming or digital environments.

Applicants are expected to have basic knowledge of certain field-specific topics, depending on the course they want to enroll in. It is also essential for most of their courses that students have at least a basic knowledge of the English language since it will make handling the different programming languages and some of the course material a lot easier.

It’s important to note that, during the application process, applicants will be tested on basic knowledge of these topics either by a prep-work examination or a short coding challenge. Even so, they have accepted non-coders provided they show potential in logical thinking and problem solving.

What You Will Need

  • Given that this is a coding bootcamp, a personal computer and an internet connection are a must.
  • You’ll be required to install certain software on your computer, which depends on the particular course you’re taking.
  • For the fully online courses you´ll also need a webcam and a microphone. A pair of headphones will also come in handy.

What You Will Not Need

If you’re taking the in-person course, Digital House will provide you with a notebook and other devices as needed for you to work while on campus. Therefore, in those cases, you won’t need to have your own computer. However, it is strongly advised that you do have one so you can work at home while you’re not on campus.

The amount of data that is generated by users and corporations increases exponentially, and making sense of all that data is the main goal of a specialist in data analytics. The basic skill you will learn is to transform meaningless data into useful information for a business or corporation.

#1 Costs

#2 Payment Plans

Digital House does not offer any payment plans. You must pay part of your tuition when applying to any of their courses, even before you know if you will be accepted or not. In case you’re not accepted, you’ll be refunded following their refund policies (read below)

#3 Scholarships

Digital Houses offers scholarships to students according to their performance and socioeconomic status.

Steps To Apply For A Scholarship

  • Step 1: Complete the scholarship application form.
  • Step 2: Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Scholarship Documentation” and attach: updated CV, cover letter stating the reason why you are interested in the course, latest salary receipt (or the last 3 invoices you issued in case of being a monotax).
  • Step 3: go through the admission process to the course in the established period of time and prior to the start of the course.
  • Step 4: Only if you have complied with steps 1 to 3 will the solicitation be considered. If so, an interview may be required.
  • Step 5: You will receive an email notifying you if you were selected to receive one of the scholarships and its characteristics. You must confirm the acceptance of the conditions within a maximum period of 2 (two) business days, otherwise the scholarship will be automatically canceled, thus losing the benefit of applying to another DH scholarship.

#4 Refund Policy

  • If you are not accepted into the program you applied for you will be refunded up to 90% of the total cost of the program. That basically means that you’ll lose 10% of the tuition if you apply and are not accepted.
  • If you decide to leave the course within the first 30 days, you are entitled to an 80% refund of the whole tuition. If you have not paid at least 20% before you leave, you will be required by contract to do so, even if you don’t continue with the course.
  • After 30 days from the beginning of the course, no amount shall be refunded.
