The Data Analytics Program is an intensive, hands-on, business-focused bootcamp that gives professionals and students the skills they need to fill critical gaps in major organizations. This program was developed to give students the skills needed to better utilize and understand data. Learning how to wrangle and clean data using Python, perform processes using SQL, effectively communicate and present data to stakeholders, and be introduced to machine learning.

In Data Science Essentials, students learn how to programmatically work with large datasets to solve business problems. They are given the tools to extract, clean, and analyze data using Python. Leverage Python’s powerful libraries to build predictive models to make better decisions, and help employers solve business problems using data-driven insights.

The Data Science Essentials course can also act as a prep-class for students applying to Data Science Fellowship because it builds skill sets in two areas essential to the Fellowship: the ability to code proficiently in Python and the ability to apply statistical methodology to datasets.

The Data Science Essentials course focuses on the following skills:

  • Data Science, method of extracting insights from data.
  • Data Visualization, interdisciplinary field that deals with the graphic representation of data and is a particularly efficient way of communicating when the data is numerous as for example a Time Series.

#1 Costs

The Data Incubator’s costs vary depending on the course you choose. Here’s how much each of them costs:

For students who pay for their tuition in cash, the school offers a few discount options:

Data Science Fellowship– $2,000 during early admissions.
– $1,000 during regular admissions.
Data Analytics Program– $1,000 during regular admissions.
Data Science Essentials– $1,400 during early applications or group enrollments of 3 or more students.

#2 Payment Plans

The Data Incubator offers two payment plans in partnership with Leif and Ascent:


The Data Incubator has an income-sharing agreement or ISA in partnership with Leif. This plan allows the student to study without worrying about paying tuition until they've found a job where they earn at least $40,000 per year.

This option is currently only available for individuals that have a US Social Security number.


Ascent's payment plans offer students taking any of the school's programs loans that range from $2,000 to $9,500.

  • Their full deferred payment plan allows the student to pay $316.98 monthly after graduation. Total: $11,411.
  • Their interest-only payments in school plan allows students to pay $54.03 monthly while in school and then $305.72 monthly after graduation. Total: 11,276.
  • Their payment in school plan allows students to pay a $305.72 monthly fee from the start of the course. Total: 11,006.

All of these payments are split into 36 monthly installments, and depending on the plan you chose, the interest is higher.

Data Science Program

The Data Incubator proudly offers a small number of full-tuition scholarships for Data Science applicants. These tuition-free spots are only available for the full-time program and all applicants are considered for the scholarship. The school selects the individuals they believe to be the most highly qualified.

Data Analytics Program

The Data Incubator wants to remove barriers and provide opportunities for those underrepresented in the industry. The goal of this Diversity Scholarship is to combat the lack of diversity in tech. Full-time applicants to this program who are eligible can apply to the school's Data Analyst Diversity Scholarship.

How To Apply To The Data Incubator

Step 1: Go To Their Sign Up Page

You can start your enrollment process by visiting The Data Incubator's website. You can do so by clicking the button below.

Step 2: Fill Out The Application Form

The Data Incubator wants to know all applicants' backgrounds before sending them the coding challenge. If a student isn't the right fit or doesn't meet the eligibility criteria, then they'll be rejected at this point.

Step 3: Coding Challenge

If you're accepted after submitting the application form, you'll be sent a coding challenge, which is designed for applicants to show their current abilities in coding. Applicants get 72 hours to complete the challenge once they start, so it's important to make sure you’re prepared to give it your all.

Applicants don’t have to finish all of the challenges, but they do need to do as much as they can. The school looks at the quality of the work as well as the quantity. Make sure you save as you go. Applicants can come back and continue their work during those 72 hours, but the last time you save is the version the school will look at.

Step 4: Interview

After the coding challenge, The Data Incubator will contact the most promising candidates to set up a time for an online interview with our instructors and staff. In the interview make sure to talk about the capstone project you have in mind, and why you think you’re the right candidate for the program.

How to Get Accepted

To be eligible for the program, you must have at least one of the following:

  • A Master’s degree is completed before the start of the program.
  • A Ph.D. degree is completed before the start of the program.
  • A Ph.D. degree is completed within 3 months after the conclusion of the program.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in a data-related position.
