Features & Benefits

Here are a few of the most important features and benefits of Xccelerate:

No Experience Needed

If a student doesn’t have any previous coding experience, they can enroll in the Web Development for Absolute Beginners program. This course will help its students learn the basics of web development to continue through this career path at a comfortable pace. Still, out of the 12 programs they offer, only the Introduction to Product Management and the Database and Data Engineering courses have any prerequisites.

Online Instruction

With the Remote Learner plan, students from all over the world can have access to Xccelerate's programs. It’s convenient and accessible wherever you are, it’s ideal for people who need to stay at home and want to grow professionally in the tech field.

Mentorship

With Xccelerate’s Micro Course option, getting mentored is easy since all they have to do is book either a 1-on-1 or a group live-class where students can interact with their teachers. Students go through three steps to get this mentorship:

  • Step 1: Find a class. Students should search through the Micro Course program options and find something that suits their needs based on schedule, price, topic, and the mentor’s style. And if they can’t find one that meets their needs, they can request it and get notified once it’s live.
  • Step 2: Book the preferred class. The student should click on the book class button and receive a confirmation email immediately. They might also receive some pre-class material.
  • Step 3: Join the Zoom class. Once it’s time for class, the student just needs to click on the link provided via email to join their class. If for some reason, they miss the class or just need a refresh on the topics discussed, they will be able to watch the class recording.

Xccelerate’s mentors, class design and the format it’s delivered in are all built to keep students engaged in the learning process, with the option to choose between a 1-on-1 live class format or a group live class style. This will allow students to interact with their mentors, asking questions and answering quizzes. All of that, live.

Career Support

Xccelerate offers its students the opportunity to join a private and free LinkedIn workshop, followed by a 45-minute call for a personalized career consultation. Their team provides customized career advice depending on the background of each of their students. They work with their strengths and weaknesses and their preferences and expectations to offer solutions that enhance digital appearance, personal branding, and employability.

Students should bring their curriculum and talk to Xccelerate’s experts about their honest thoughts about their career development for a consultation. They believe that learning is good, but getting a new job that exploits what a graduate learned is even better so they work on teaching their students how to optimize themselves to be hired and prepare them for traditional and technical interviews.

Xccelerate also offers the possibility to recommend their students to companies that reach out to them, searching for new talent. The school meets with the company to determine which students would be the best fit for them and then reach out to the selected students and contact the interested company.

The school hosts curriculum and portfolio-building workshops, mock interviews and networking events to give students the best chance of getting the jobs they are aiming for. They also connect them with their networks, allowing them to present their ideas. The projects presented at the end of each course will be presented at their talent night for the school’s hiring partners.
