How to get the 2,500 miles

  1. Open my Rove link. The code IS054PRY is already in it.
  2. Create your free account. If you sign up some other way, such as in the app, enter IS054PRY when it asks for a referral code.
  3. The first 500 miles are added to your account.
  4. Make your first purchase through Rove. That can be a hotel or flight booked on Rove, or an order at a store you reach through Rove Shopping.

Use the code on your first sign-up. Like most referral bonuses, it’s for new members only, and refunded or cancelled purchases don’t earn miles.

What is Rove?

Rove is a free travel rewards program. You earn Rove Miles when you book travel, shop and eat out, on top of whatever your credit card already pays you. There’s no Rove credit card to apply for. Rove gets a commission from the hotels, airlines and stores you buy from, and pays part of it back to you as miles.

Then you either spend the miles on flights and hotels in Rove’s own booking site, or transfer them to an airline or hotel program.

How you earn more Rove Miles

  • Hotels: up to 25 miles per dollar at over 200,000 properties booked through Rove. “Loyalty Eligible” stays also earn your hotel points and elite nights.
  • Flights: book through Rove and you earn Rove Miles, your usual airline miles and your card rewards on the same ticket.
  • Shopping: 13,000+ stores through the Rove portal, the browser extension, gift cards, or in store with a linked card.
  • Dining: 3 to 10 miles per dollar at participating restaurants when you pay with a linked card.

Rates change by store and by hotel, so check the rate shown before you buy.

Rove transfer partners

Rove transfers to 21 airline and hotel programs, across all three airline alliances. Every partner transfers at 1:1 except ALL – Accor Live Limitless, which is 1.5:1.

  • Airlines: Aeromexico Rewards, Aeroplan, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Copa ConnectMiles, Etihad Guest, Finnair Plus, Flying Blue (Air France and KLM), Frontier Miles, Hainan Fortune Wings Club, Air India Maharaja Club, Miles & More, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, JAL Mileage Bank, SAS EuroBonus, Thai Royal Orchid Plus, Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles
  • Hotels and other: ALL – Accor Live Limitless and Virgin Red

Partners come and go, so check Rove’s current list before you plan a transfer around one.

What are 2,500 Rove Miles worth?

Rove’s own baseline is 1 cent per mile, so 2,500 miles is about $25 toward a booking on Rove. Transferring them to an airline partner can get you more, but 2,500 miles on its own won’t cover an award flight. Think of it as a head start you add to as you book and shop.

Is Rove worth joining?

If you live in the U.S. and book your own hotels, yes, as a second program alongside your credit card. It costs nothing, it doesn’t change what your card earns, and the hotel rates are where most of the miles come from. If you rarely travel or shop online, the 2,500 miles will be most of what you ever get from it.
