Where to enter the Wealthsimple referral code
In the app:
- Tap the gift icon at the top right of the Home page.
- Open the Invite friends tab and tap Enter referral code.
- Type GSLB4Q. You’ll see Referral code applied when it works.
On the web:
- Select the gift icon at the bottom left of the Home page.
- Find the box that says Got a referral code? Enter it here.
- Type GSLB4Q and submit.
The code box only shows until 7 days after your first deposit. If you open my Wealthsimple link before you sign up, the code is attached for you and you can skip this.
How to get the $25 bonus
- Join with the code or the link. Make sure you see “Referral code applied”. Your 30-day funding period starts then.
- Deposit at least $100 from your bank, or transfer in from another institution or an outside crypto wallet, within 30 days.
- Open a Wealthsimple chequing account if you don’t have one. The bonus can only be paid there.
- Keep the bonus for 180 days. The $25 lands within 24 hours of the qualifying deposit.
Rules that cancel the bonus
- Funding from inside Wealthsimple. Transfers from other Wealthsimple users, moves between your own accounts and Wealthsimple bonuses don’t count toward the $100.
- Missing the 30-day window. The $100 has to reach Wealthsimple within 30 days of the code being applied.
- No chequing account. If you don’t open one within 90 days of being asked, the bonus is forfeited.
- Withdrawing early. Take the bonus out within 180 days and it can be deducted from your final withdrawal.
Withdrawals during the funding period are subtracted from your deposits, so leave the $100 in.
Who can use this code?
The code is for legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory and are new to Wealthsimple.
- No existing account. You can’t already have a Wealthsimple Trade, Crypto, Managed Investing or Chequing account, unless you opened and funded it in the last 7 days.
- Primary holder only. On a joint account, RESP or spousal RRSP, only the primary account holder gets the bonus.
Bonuses like this can have tax implications. If the bonus goes into a registered account, Wealthsimple reports it as a contribution, so keep an eye on your room.

Is there a Wealthsimple promo code?
Wealthsimple calls it a referral code. GSLB4Q goes in the same referral code box in the app or on the web, and it gets you the $25 bonus.
I already signed up. Can I still use the code?
Yes, if you first funded your account no more than 7 days ago. After that, Wealthsimple says to contact its support team, and it can’t promise a referral can be added.
What counts toward the $100?
Deposits from your bank, transfers from another investment institution and crypto transfers from an outside wallet. Internal transfers, transfers from other Wealthsimple users, bonuses and group plan contributions don’t count.
What does the person who referred me get?
Wealthsimple pays the referrer $25 too, and sometimes an extra amount based on how much you deposit. Your $25 stays the same.
