Who can get OAS Allowance (ages 60–64)
The Allowance is for low-income people aged 60 to 64 whose spouse or common-law partner receives OAS and GIS. The Allowance for the Survivor is for low-income people aged 60 to 64 whose spouse or partner has died and who have not remarried or entered a new common-law relationship. Both require living in Canada for at least 10 years after age 18.
