My payment didn’t arrive — what do I do?
Check your online file for the payment date and amount. If it hasn't arrived by the end of the payment day, check with your bank, then call the Ministère: 514-873-4000 (Montréal area) or 1-877-767-8773 (toll-free elsewhere in Québec). Lines are open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m.). Cheques can take longer than direct deposit.

Who can get Quebec Social Assistance
Social Assistance is for adults and families with low income who do not have a severely limited capacity for employment. Social Solidarity is for people with a severely limited capacity for employment, confirmed by a medical report. The Basic Income Program is for Social Solidarity recipients who have had severe health-related limitations for at least 66 of the past 72 months; they are admitted automatically. The amount depends on your family, housing, income and assets.
How to get Quebec Social Assistance
Apply online through Services Québec, or fill out the paper application form and mail it or drop it off at a Services Québec office. You will need your Social Insurance Number and documents about your income and assets. Basic Income needs no application. www.quebec.ca
